With Pho.to Lab for Android you can transform your photos using a menu of over 400 novelty photo effects, frames, and photo collages.
Perhaps one of the simplest photo apps we've encountered, Pho.to Lab launches directly to a huge menu of effects. Choose one, apply it to either an existing photo or a new one, select the area of the photo to be used, and hit Process. From there, you can share your resulting masterpiece via Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, or any of your device's other installed applications. You can also set it as a Contact icon or Wallpaper.
Before downloading and installing Pho.to Lab on your Android device, you should know that its powers are decidedly cheesy. It can display your face on the cover of Cosmopolitan or Forbes magazine, on Philippine currency, or in a tiger's maw of all places. It can even print your photo on Jackie Chan's T-shirt if you like. While there are a few frames and effects that aren't overly silly or flashy, for the most part, Pho.to Lab's options do fall in the realm of amusement-park souvenir photography--which is not necessarily bad. If you're looking for something to impart more polished, artistic effects to your photos, Pho.to Lab might not be your best choice. But if you live for the cheesy, and you don't take yourself too seriously, you may have just found your next favorite download.
