From moosware.net:Percussion Studio supports a simple notation system for percussion rhythms. It comes with some standard rhythms and sampled instruments. It plays multitrack rhythms with CD-quality percussion sounds. You can mute or soloplay tracks, and Percussion Studio also supports handset notation. You can create your own instruments by importing wave files. The save feature is disabled in this trial. The full version costs $25.

Pros: Easy to use, with interesting possibilities of sound (open, bass, snap... with acccent), great sound (like a real), easy editing with copy/paste etc... of the patterns.
