Pros
I like Peedy and remember him since I had Bonzai Buddy with him before in the 1990's and i liked his interaction, jokes and reminders and things. i would like it better if more MS Agents than the 4 free ones could be added or created.
Cons
This reminds me of BONZAI BUDDY which had Peedy and which also contained Adware and hidden phishing malware that was its undoing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonzai_buddy This program does include a link to PapaTsoftware on the menu that comes up. I have no way of knowing whether it is collecting information or doing other hidden things. I really wish others could evaluate this and state more clearly whether i have anything to worry about or if it is safe. CNET can you check this one?

 Updated on Nov 7, 2012OKAY..I installed Peedy and Friends. Immediately AVAST antivirus gave me a warning but I did it anyway (Stupid Me). The installation did not stop until I cancelled it. Peedy came up and seems to mostly be a menu program. he does not tell jokes, chat with you or read documents. I tried uninstall and uninstall option. I clicked and it says 'cannot uninstall a program that is already not installed! Hmmmmm Peedy icon is on desktop.. i clicked.. sure enuf he comes right up. in control panel Peedy is NOT LISTED on the list of installed software... I have tried the IOBit Uninstaller to no avail. Shades of BONZAI BUDDY... I can't get rid of this thing! I am running a pretty generic computer.. Gateway 505 3GHZ, 2GB RAM, Win XP Pro. Get quick access via voice recognition to common commands, e-mail address, and password.

First choose from the 4 Microsoft agent characters, Peedy, Genie, Merlin and Robby. The character, when showing, floats on top of your desktop and provides 1 click access to the commands: computer, control panel, documents, pictures, music, internet explorer, Mozilla (if installed), Google, my notes, and PapaTsoftware. "My notes" is a customizable text file that is always 1 click away. There are also 3 custom text areas for text such as email address and password which is also 1 click away. The 3 text areas are drag and drop capable. Text data is saved to your hard drive using advanced encryption techniques. Auto hide is used. Program is very small and uses minimal CPU and ram resource. Use of voice recognition is optional.
