"Great (now at 3.1) when it works"
Version: Parted Magic LiveUSB 3
Pros
It boots quickly, boots into Memtest x86 if you so desire, and leverages the Gnome Partition Editor to do it's work. Firefox and a couple of file browsers are also present.
Cons
I've had occasions when it didn't recognize the drive controllers, rendering it useless for partitioning.
Summary
Great little distro when it works. With a better array of drivers, I'd throw away Disk Director.
