Panda SafeCD is a free utility to disinfect any Operating System. Simply burn into a CD or USB and boot your PC with Panda SafeCD to scan and disinfect your PC. This useful utility comes in handy when you need to clean a friend's PC (or your own) from a malware infested state. It is specially useful for detecting and disinfecting malware infections which give regular AV products running within Windows a hard time.
Features include: Automatic detection and removal of all types of malware. Boot from CD or USB stick. Supports using updated signature files. Supports 13 languages. Supports both FAT and NTFS drives. The download consists of an ISO. You can either burn this into a CD/DVD or alternatively create a more convenient Boot USB stick by using something like the Universal Netboot Installer (UNetbootin).
What's new in this version: New graphical user interface. Ability to download new signatures from the Internet. Ability to use beta signatures, to select individual partitions.

Summary
Seems kind of self-defeating to have a boot cd that will not run without internet access.. I was looking for a tool I could use on an infected machine thaqt had been isolated from the network.

Pros
I was able to configure the iso to safeboot and save the newest virus defs. to the nfs mounted file system.
Cons
The kernel needs to be recompiled to support x64 systems as well as some sata interfaces. I am still working to complete the kernel recompile but it should not be a huge hurtle for anyone with a Linux background.
Summary
Panda's SafeCD is a good product but it could be made great for a large scale network by creating a live dvd supporting pxe boot auto repair with out a the user needing to burn up their support offices time. This could all be done with only few small changes to their live cd. fir
Oops, site timed out. I will update my recommendations for panda for a live pxe/netboot cd at a later time. Sorry :(
