PDF files are a common format for most businesses today. However, altering and creating fresh PDFs remains a mystery for many people. PDFill PDF Tools hopes to make this process simpler with a number of options, but the busy interface may overwhelm less experienced users.
This freeware program has a cluttered interface that will take some studying and experimentation to master. However, all the elements serve a purpose, and many will look familiar to those who have used a word-processing program. The screen looks very much like Microsoft Word's display, with a ruler running down the side and familiar buttons for saving, creating, printing, and fonts along the top. Along the left side are a string of icons with tools for creating PDF-specific tools like check boxes, drop-down menus, radio buttons, and more. The right side of the screen features icons that help give PDFs a professional sheen, by sizing and balancing the page with various tools. Along the bottom are still more buttons; these allow users to do everything from drawing text boxes, highlighting text, or even adding videos.
PDFill allows users to alter existing PDFs or create documents from scratch. One of its most unique aspects is the helpful hints. When our test PDF opened, it contained no fillable fields and offered to show us how to create them. Boxes pop up regularly throughout and offer other helpful hints.
The only negative is PDFill's crowded interface. With all four sides covered in buttons, it can get overwhelming. However, with a little practice we think that anyone can create and alter PDFs using this excellent download.

"It didn't take me as long in the help files."
Pros: Not too much to say other than it works well.
Cons: It's not free!!
Summary: It's not even free to try... The watermark they put on it makes it unusable...I'm not saying it's not worth the $20, I believe it is........But playing me (to get me to try it) and then not letting me use my finished product that I put all this time... read more >>

Version: PDFill PDF Tools Free 7.0
Pros: Seems like a great PDF editor if you want to buy it for $19.99.
Cons: The only way this software is free is if you ONLY use this software and save it in their .pfl format. You CANNOT save or print as .pdf unless you buy the software (watermarking the document if you don't). Misleading!
Summary: Not free! Shouldn't be listed as free!

Version: PDFill PDF Tools Free 7.0
"PDFill PDF Tools is NOT FREE!"
Pros: This software sucks, there's nothing I like about it after spending forever downloading, installing, creating a form before finding it's not free like the search filter - and it's stupid name says it is.
Cons: Tricking people into believing it's free, a huge FAIL to you pdfill!
Summary: BOOOOOOOO!

Version: PDFill PDF Tools Free 7.0
"Misleading price, cluttered, will do as advertises"
Pros: All I want to do is sign Pdf doc and fax back to sender - this keeps being an expensive proposition. I also want them compressed so that I'm not sending huge documents and burning into my 5 Gb that Verizon holds me to.
Cons: It's not free. I searched for free and it appears free. You download it and then as you try to save it installs a watermark that will only be removed upon receipt of $19.99 from you.
Summary: The product looks useful, but do not trick me with "free."
