This application claims to search for and fix system problems, but we can't vouch for its repair capabilities. PC-Repair scans for unused files and missing components, applications, and shortcuts, among other things, and displays the problems it finds. Unfortunately, the trial does not offer any fixes; you have to purchase the full application to get that. The application does show system information and the hardware components of your computer. Its simple interface has misleading navigational buttons and no help file. The Optimize button is confusing as it simply allows you to choose from eight problems to search. The other features are of no immediate use. Specifically, More Tools links you to a Web site that features other applications from the publisher, and Live Chat (with a company representative) is available only upon registration. All level users will find this 15-day trial unsatisfactory since PC-Repair doesn t actually repair anything.

  Version: PC-Repair 2005

  "Who knows?"

  Pros: Looked nice...I guess.

  Cons: The program scanned my files for close to an hour, asked if I wanted to fix the problems, I clicked OK. Then came the sales pitch. It wouldn't fix even 1 problem unless I paid the $29.95 purchase price. I had no way to see if this program even works. BTY, while it scanned my files looking for problems, it accessed the internet and sent information back. I hope it wasn't sensitive info. Gulp!
