Although this screensaver lets you virtually tour gorgeous New Zealand for no charge, it stumbles on a couple of different fronts. The application's image library focuses mainly on the country's natural scenery, including beaches, waterfalls, and snow-capped mountain peaks. In some cases, the shots look just fine, but in others they seem blurry and washed-out. It also would be nice if New Zealand provided information captions and some sort of soundtrack. While you will find a nice library of transition effects, you can't set the delay between images or choose a random sequence. Also, some of the transitions are quite slow and may frustrate impatient users. Nevertheless, since it is totally free, we can see how some travel enthusiasts will be able to overlook this application's flaws.
