  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I have been using MagiSign very successfully with a serial cutter-plotter using Illustrator CS and OSX since version 1.4. For me it works perfectly, so I suspect that SystemLord (doesn't the name tell you something?) may have misconfigured something in his setup. I would not normally duplicate a review, but make an exception here for two reasons. 1) To counter the unfairness of someone giving a product a one-star review just because they can't get it to work, and 2) because I found out after writing my first review that some of the rough edges were due to my having set up the plotter wrong. If I could have edited or removed my own review, I would have added the fifth star in any case. This is specialist software. If you have no commercial need for it, it is expensive, but there is nothing else that does the same thing as well or for less, and in my case it was good value. NCS is not Adobe. They are charging a reasonable amount to relatively few people for software that has taken a lot of work to produce.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />For years I have jumped through hoops exporting Illustrator drawings to sign apps in order to plot them, but with MagiSign all you have to do is to fill in a few parameters in the MagiSign palette within Illustrator, and send the file off to the plotter---as easy as printing. Simple and very effective. This is a new port to X, and while it works fine, there are a few rough edges. Also, itâ??s not cheap, though price compares favourably to other ways of achieving the same end; if plotting is your business it is well worth it.
