This application is a decorator's dream, effortlessly adding animated "wallpaper" themes to a desktop computer. We were impressed with its functionality and seemingly invisible operation--despite actions that would appear to use a lot of memory and become a drag on performance. Moderndesktop works quietly in the background without taking up too many system resources, unless OpenGL is required to run the animation (and even so, it's not crippling.) The program does support DirectX and OpenGL driver sets. While the program comes with six themes, you can set Flash files as animated wallpaper as well. It is easy to use, and most commands and functions are immediately accessible and understandable. Overall, Moderndesktop is a neat way to jazz up your screen.Publisher's Description

It certainly DOES slow your machine down. It hoggs memory and makes you have to wait for your MOUSE to move.
If you have dual monitors, it's totally useless.

ok, i download this thinking it would be a pretty cool add-on for my computer. i installed it and i double click the icon, thinking i am going to get the different desktops. it immediatly uploads the the dolphin desktop and when i double ckick it again, it wont load. do the same thing teh first review says to get rid of it. restart computer, then quickly get into my computer, then C drive, then program files, then ModernDesktop and then click uninstall icon. DONT DOWNLOAD THIS

Wish it worked, it's really cute.
Cons
First screen worked. Tried to change and I crashed but in a scary way -- it wouldn't let me do anything. I had to restart and click really really fast to uninstall the program. Thought it was a virus.

there some 3D wallpapers and scenic pictures available for slideshow. it provides more than one way to animated my wallpaper. besides that, with its help i can set my favorte screensavors and slideshow pictures.
