  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br /><p>This is a cute little app for the hobbyist. The High latency (length of time from a key press to a sound heard) doesn't make this very feasible in a professional setting - but that's not the target audience. Perhaps these are limitations of the Open Media Toolkit used to make this. I loaded in some sine waves, drum loop and a couple of effects and was rocking away for a few minutes. Then I wanted to save my setup and it wasn't until the second start up that I realized you can close the Load Sounds in the FIle menu by clicking that to get back to the Save Setup options.</p> <hr width=80%> <p><b>Suggestions:</b> <ol> <li>Although the second time around I discovered the onboard help, some more explanation of the unorthodox interface would be good, and additionally in a readme before getting into the app.</li> <li>Perhaps the latency could be helped by not flashing the parameter settings everytime a key is pressed (but optionally when say OPT+Key is pressed)</li> </ol></p><p> <b>Tip for the User:</b> This app will still produce sound when hidden, so coupled with other apps such as Rax/MidiKeys you've got a whole studio of free tools on your hands (no additional music hardware necessary!)</p> <p><b><i>Hey Spaze Crafte....haven't heard from you in a while, give us a shout out from NY!</i></b></p>
