"Visio 2007 Pro is the most comprehensive available"

Pros
Easy to learn, easier to use. Templates/stencils, etc. are readily available within the software suite and many more can be found online.
Cons
Too Expensive... 2007 version is two version old, yet Microsoft continues to charge over $500 for a product that has repaid their development costs ten fold.
Summary
I would recommend this product for the average or above average user.

Ability to adapt to multiple functionalities with templates pre configured.
Cons
Regular updates with icons and technology does not appear to be automatic
Summary
Adequate but could be greatly improved upon, a major help would be the ability to predefine x and y lengths for floorplans and network schematics. By simply entering the length and width and then have the wall or diminsions autmatically draw to that scale.

I feel it gave me all I needed and liked that it intergrated with my www.pgigs.com platform.

Its a little expensive for what I'm used to.

Once you have learned Visio, you are free to create whatever you can imagine. No limitations. Beats any wizard that guides you in making diagrams.
Cons
Expensive if you have to buy your own license. Worth it once you become dependent on the capabilities.
Summary
If you are a project manager or business analyst, no tool is better for making diagrams or making images of concepts. Allows un-artistic people to create.
