Publisher's Description
From Mystik Media:
MediaJoin is software that enables you to easily join (combine) all popular audio and video formats into a single merged audio or video file. Formats supported include MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and WMV. Optionally include audio tag information for combined output audio files. Settings are available for bitrate, frequency, channels, VBR, and WMA profile for audio files; and AVI audio and video codec, MPEG bitrate, frame rate, size, and WMV profile for video files, providing complete output control.
The software supports more formats than other audio and video joiners on the market. In fact, it is the only complete all-in-one solution for joining (combining) audio and video files. With MediaJoin, you get a MP3 joiner, WMA joiner, WAV joiner, OGG joiner, AVI joiner, MPG joiner, and WMV joiner all in the same application!

"this program does not work, little support"
Version: MediaJoin 2.0
Pros
Simple clean interface, small download
Cons
Will not finish joining mp3 files, displays extended error information overflow. Very little support
Summary
I like the simple clean interface and would love to use this program to join audio files together to download audio to my mp4 player but the whole premise for the program does not work.

"Not worth the trouble"
Version: MediaJoin 2.0
Pros
None that I know of
Cons
Wont work at all
Summary
When I try to join two files I get an error message and it shuts down. This is not worth the trouble.

"Did not work for me."
Version: MediaJoin 2.0
Pros
Seem to install properly.
Cons
Didn't work
Summary
Didn't for me. I am using Vista however and this does not say it is compatible with Vista; nevertheless, I have used and do use many programs that were not designed for Vista

"This is a v1 15 day trial version not v2 free version"
Version: MediaJoin 2.0
Pros
Installed smoothly.
Cons
The MediaJoin 'Help'==>'About' gave this as v1 though the interface was different from version 1. This is also apparently a 15-day trial version (i.e., time limited), not the v2 free version with no limitations it is purported to be by the publisher.
Summary
The software seemed to install without any problems but the resulting 'joined' had major problems (i.e., frame rate, lost sound) and the software generated error reports each time it was run.

"Free, but..."
Version: MediaJoin 2.0
Pros
1) Free!
2) Re-encodes different video/audio files to a single output fileCons
1) Always re-encodes video/audio stream (i.e., loss of quality compared to original files)....
2) Lacks option to simply "join" files w/ similar bitrates....
3) Error appear during installation on Vista (Vista not listed as supported)Summary
If you want to re-encode several files into a single file, this could be the answer - and its free. However, if you simply want to join video/audio files together with no re-encoding (which is slow and reduces quality), then I recommend trying "Easy AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner 3.5" (available on download.com). While it is not free, it is fast, does not re-encode and works on Vista (even though the last update was in 2005).
