"incredible software. wish I discovered it years ago"

May 20, 2014  |  By rsorrenson

 |  Version: MailEnable Standard 7.50

Pros

Complete email server package which provides service for multiple users on multiple domains
Easy to set up and very very light on server load

much easier then exchange I have had ZERO problems in the six months I have used it with ZERO maintenance which was never the case with exchange.

Extremely easy to configure presuming you have extremely basic knowledge of SMTP and pop

Cons

you need a basic understanding of SMTP/Pop etc as you would expect with any software

Summary

wish I found this years ago instead of putting up with exchange problems for years

Updated on May 20, 2014

forgot to mention. For Standard edition spam filtering I use the Nexus digital plugin.. add zip and exe to the extension folders

"Wow, fantastic product!"

December 23, 2012  |  By StephenMcMaster

 |  Version: MailEnable Standard 1.8

Pros

- Easy to install
- Easy to use
- Easy to back up
- Lots of functionality
- Very Reliable
- Very Low Footprint

Cons

None of note.

Summary

I provide web development and hosting for my clients, and have been using MailEnable for a number of years now to provide those users with email capbilities for their sites.

It is a fantastic piece of software which is incredibly easy to install and allows you to have a mail server up and running in no time.

The software itself if very very low footprint. I am running all of my customer's emails from a Windows Azure XS instance costing £6 a month, so it's a total no brainer.

I have never had an error message or issue with the software, and none of my clients have had any issues with using the brilliant webmail portal.

Would highly recommend.

"A great, full-featured e-mail service."

October 28, 2010  |  By AndrewBarber

 |  Version: MailEnable Standard 4.26

Pros

It handles all the basic e-mail needs you could have for your domains, with no limits on domains or users.

Cons

Does not have some of the advanced features of the pay versions, but that's sort of the point.

Summary

This is the first solution I look to when needing to implement email for a domain.
