CNET Editors' review
Quickly create photo collages using Magic Photo Editor. Novices will appreciate the simple navigation, but experienced users will want more menu options and more-professional results.
The program's interface is simplified almost to a fault, with built-in buttons for each effect running down the left-hand side of the program window. People looking for drop-down menus and a more traditional program layout will find none of that here. People who are hesitant with technology will enjoy this program, as the lack of drop-down menus and expanded options makes it easy to operate. Magic Photo Editor allows the user to add text, frames, and clip art to their colleges. But after we finished editing, we found that its options and collage effects produced amateurish results. When you are finished creating your masterpiece, you can save the file in low-res JPEG format, or in high-res BMP format. We wish that there were a way to save files as high-resolution JPEGs. BMP is a common file format, but why not use the even more common JPEG?
Magic Photo Editor offers a 30-day trial period. It downloads easily and does not add any unwanted clutter to your computer, such as desktop shortcuts or Quick Launch icons. This is a great tool for those new to photo-editing programs, but users who have had experience using popular image manipulation programs such as Photoshop will find this program too simplistic.

"Works great, but watch out."
Version: Magic Photo Editor 6.1
Pros
Easy to use. Creates nice montages.
Cons
None as far as use of the product.
Summary
This product is free to try for 30 uses. But once you reach 30 you'll have to pay. EVERY time you use it 30 times. I have already purchased the product TWICE and now it's asking me to buy it again. I tried to contact the developer but have not received a response. Very frustrating!!!

"Brings your creativity & photos together!!!"
Version: Magic Photo Editor 6.1
Pros
If you want a super-user friendly photo editor that can help either a novice or an advanced computer-user create great looking collages and or photos using any type of wallpaper images you can find under Google images for example, than this is it! The paid S/W brings more balloons, effects, clip art than the trial version. It's not quite PicSay Photo (Android s/w), but for Windows it's not too shabby.
Cons
It would be great if one could add more fonts, balloons, clip-art etc. or one's own personal shapes. This is one of the few limitations that irks the user.
Summary
Try it out if you want to get creative with your pics, but don't want to edit the actual images, for that look elsewhere, edit photos (e.g. crop, lighten, sharpen, fix colors, etc.).
