If you have a Blu-ray player and don't want to or can't use a native Mac media player app, Mac Blu-ray Player can be used to view Blu-rays in addition to DVDs, but some may find the price tag for the full version too high.
The installation and setup of a free trial version of Mac Blu-ray Player for Mac went smoothly. The initial menus are intuitive and well-designed. The trial version will only function a limited number of times, however, before the user must buy the full version at $59.95. Technical support is available, and the developer's Web site is user-friendly. After we inserted a disc, the program recognized and started playing it quickly and cleanly. Menus for controlling the movie playback are easy to locate and use. In addition to DVDs and Blu-rays, the player can handle several other video file formats and those for audio. The program purports to allow users to include their own subtitles, though we didn't test this.
While Mac Blu-ray Player is well-designed and functional, those looking for a simple disc player app may find its high price off-putting. However, if you have an external Blu-ray player and your Mac does not have native software to accomodate it, this program may be an attractive option.

I'm here to say something grateful to this team and this software.
One: this bluray video player meets lots of my desire on enjoying movies.
Two: one day, one of my disks called Chronicle can not be playback by using this video player suddenly and i'm confused what to do. So i tried to contact macgo's customer service for help. You know what, their attitude is great. They asked me for some information about my PC, bluray drive, and disk for testing and solved the problem soon finally with their exclusive T-shirt for showing sorry.
Three: they are still keeping developing with their hundred percent hardworking.Cons
Sometime it's not stable, but it's ok, because i know they are still working on making their software perfect.
Summary
There is no such thing as a free lunch. The money we paid for this mac bluray player is for getting the best service, and in fact mac bluray player makes it.

I am so happy to see a new update version of Mac Blu-ray Player. It has been half an year since I got it during which period I saw its great improvement relating to functions.I have to admit it becomes more and more comfortable and considerate for users. I love this elite Blu-ray tool so much. Compared to others, I dare say its effortless operation and multifunction must be a great success over other products. Not to mention its excellent video effect and extra supporting all kinds of media formats. One word "good value for money".

I tried the AirX in this new version just to find the slake video. I don't know why.

I think I paid a lot for the App. Also when I stop a movie my icon for the Disk is gone and my Blu-Ray disk player will not eject. The only way to get it all back is to reboot the machine....I really don't like that Glitch

I have tried to use this Mac Blu-ray Player software to play Blu-ray Disc on my 15" MacBiook Pro with Retina display, with Sony BDX-S600U 6X Blu-Ray Slim External Drive, and it paid off. It's amazing! How lucky is that I came across its special offer which may be going on. Only $39.95 is too cheap to have a delicate and functional gadget like it.

It cannot support 3D still.

Obviously this app is capable of lots of attractive functions,but to be honest,there is still a long way for this to keep going!!

I have to say i'm a loyal fan of this bluray video player and i can't stand this kind of comment that trys to stop other person to use it. Acatually i have been using this media player for a long time and it really does good to me. Though it's not perfect, some of the latest techniques are not supported, the functions owned by this video player now is excellent compared with other bluray video player.We can give them suggestions not comment it terriblly on purpose.

"Minimal interface built over Open Source Software"

Pros
It was easy to spend the $29.97 for the software.
Cons
Features like airx web streaming simply did not work. Several Blu Ray disks refused to load. There were no added value features not found in the Open Source software this interface is built upon. The disks that would not play worked fine in VLC 2 with the keys database and AACS dynamic libraries.
Summary
I would encourage you to try the demo before you buy it. All sales are final. Unless menu support or other added value items are added, it does not seem worth paying for the "interface". Be careful as all the other Blu Ray software players for the mac are just rebranded versions build over freely available open source software.

Ok, i downloaded and bought this video player here with strong expection to make me satisfied, but at the begin several problems occured, some of my disks can not work on it, so i turned to this company for help with lots anger, cause i need these favourite disks work. Luckily speaking, they replied with big sorry as soon as they can<ther said>, but i trusted them.And they asked for detailed information about my disks, they told me what's wrong one by one after their test. And they said if some disks still can not work, i can send these disks to them and they will help me to solve. Great service!
