CNET Editors' review
This program cuts and joins MP3 and WAV audio files at a very high level. The installation is extremely fast, and in seconds MP3 Cutter and Joiner launches on your desktop. The main window has two tabs, one for splitting and one for joining. The splitting tab asks you to select a file and destination folder, as well as to configure the splitting by either time or space. The joining tab lets you drop files onto a list and unify those files into one you name in a folder you specify. Both operations take little time and the performance is outstanding. The split files have no skips at the beginning or end, and the unified file is pop-free. The interface might look primitive, but the program's output is advanced.Publisher's Description

"It doesn't join anything at all!:-("
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Pros
Download.com states that the minimum is Windows 98. It starts and can be used also on Win 95B but, BUT, see the Cons...
Cons
Although it starts on 95 as well, its interface is the extreme nothing, poor, ugly, old, etc.; 2) the homepage doesn't appear to exist anymore; 3) it claims to join MP3s and WAVs. When I tried to join 2 WAV files it immediately said "joined successfully" but the end result was a 'joined' invalid file of only 44 bytes...
I don't know if it's fault of Win 95. I hope that in newer systems it will do its job!

"Needs a new version"
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Summary
I concur with the first two reviewers here - this prog is fine for JOINING files, but for SPLITTING files it is woefully lacking. It also misread the length of at least one MP3 making an accurate split even more difficult

"Mp3 join worked fine for me"
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Summary
Joined a couple of mp3s together without a problem, there's no audible gap between the join. Haven't tried splitting or wavs but for mp3s, it's fine

"DON'T WASTE YOUR BANDWIDTH!"
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Summary
Tried joining 3 WAV music files together and all it produced was a 4kb empty file!! Believe me, I did everything correct, but program obviously doesn't support joing WAV files as advertised. DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING!!

"No good handling of this tool"
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Summary
I agree with the first entry here. It is no fun, determining where to split a big file, when you can't listen to it at the same time... And olny sliders to set the time?????

"Only good for joining MP3 files"
Version: MP3 Cutter and Joiner 1.0
Summary
Although the program is very easy to use it lacks features when wanting to split an MP3 file. Currently you can only split by either variable time segments or by fixed time segments. The kicker is that you can't even play the file to note what time you want to split the file. Also, a graphical representation of the audio would be nice. That way you can set markers between songs on an MP3 at the silenced points. Hope the developer reads this suggestion. It works fine for joining MP3 files though.
