"Tremendous variety of choices. Fabulous artists."
Version: Live365
Pros

Cons
Stoppages with txt saying the station can't be played.

"WARNING! almost impossible to cancel & "no refunds""
Version: Live365
Pros
Crap service
Cons
live365 is a total scam and ripoff - the fact that these guys aren't in jail is a testimony to how many ripoff scams are on the internet. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Summary
My experience with them sucks, and trying to cancel their "service" to stop fraudulent charges against your credit card is almost impossible.

"Poor service for free users and not worth upgrade"
Version: Live365
Pros
Good selection of stations - but now many other services such as last.fm have a huge list of music too
Cons
too many ads - about 80-90% of their ads are their own, trying to convince you to sign up for the subscription service.
inconsistent availability - sometimes you get the program...other times it just keeps trying to connectSummary
When 365 first came out, it was a great tool. Now it is just one of many other online radio stations with "user playlists".
My main two gripes are that for free users, the player goes in and out of availability. In other words, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I upgraded, all I lost was ads...the problem with the player still persisted, even after multiple reinstallations. And no, they didn't give me a refund. I have a cable connection with a bandwidth monitor, and a 2.53Ghz processor, so I know it ain't my setup.
As for the ads, almost all of them are messages trying to convince you to upgrade. Only a few are legitimate ads for a product or service. Its almost like they are actually trying to make your experience miserable so that you sign up for the paid service. But at $7.95 per month, it wasn't worth it to me to continue. That is too close to satellite radio prices. There are so many other alternatives out there. -
"Live365 Maybe Wrong Way To Go!"
Version: Live365
Pros
Easy to Use
Cons
It's a Juke Box nothing more. Most the time I don't think you are online. They make you believe you are online by tricks. If you sign up for 6 months and you decide to cancel the next month. You can cancel but you won't get any of your money back.
Summary
If you store alot of music on their playlist they can block you from deleting any of the music stored there. They keep telling you that you are playing too many songs by the same artist when you are not and then they tell you by email they are taking you off the air. I don't remember them giving an agreement for cancellation procedures.I don't remember them tell you when you sign up how many listeners you can have.

"GREAT online music"
Version: Live365
Pros
Every type of music is available. (Something like 5000 stations.) Pick your mood and pick the station/music to match.
Cons
I gave Live365 four stars instead of five because I think $7.95/month is a bit overpriced. I *might* pay $2 or 3.
Summary
I Googled looking for some reviews (specifically feedback) from users who have "upgraded" from the free stream to the VIP membership to see if they thought it was worth it. Albeit a brief search I couldn't find any.
BTW, I listen to Live365 daily!
For now, I'll continue to put up with an occasional, short ad and save the bucks.
