Summary
Updated the firmware for the router , the old version didn't want to recognize the network . Downloaded the new version and it seems to have solved the problems .
No privacy! Very vulnerable!!!

Pros
Easy to use!!! but also easy for others to get your password if they can gain access to your PC.
Cons
There is no way to hide Wi-fi password on linksys easylink advisor. Anyone who can acess your main PC-computer can easily see your Wi-Fi password on the router details. Even the internet thechnician who went in the house saw it. There is no privacy protection on this easylink advisor. No wonder they called it "easy" and if youre using WPA you know how pain it is to re-enter password in each device you have if you decided to change it. linksys needs to find a way to hide or password protect the WI-FI passcode.

Can easily see what is on the network. Allows you to quickly get the network information for various devices. Easy to block sites or to configure access to your router.

We love this software and used it on several computers, but the last time we downloaded it CNET dumped "Coupon Companion" malware on the computer. I am soooo _ucking annoyed that CNET would stoop to this!!!!!

The price is right.

Slow, big in memory, not accurate in reporting network.
Summary
This large and slow program reveals nothing you can't get better from windows facilities. Big as the program is, it sheds no new light on your network. Frequently it can't get particulars of items on line in the network and falsely reports them offline. For anything serious it opens up your router set up page which you had access to all along.

You can't get rid of it once you give them your email address... I've taken the new router back out of service.., made tons of phone calls to Cisco and Network Magic., but no one knows about the emails... Gad.., what a crock... I've deleted everything related to the new router install and the advisor and still the un-viewable 'reports' keep coming... What are they reporting on..? There's no link in the email to stop them either. You're told to click a link on the easy link advisor.., but that's impossible to create... I've never been able to get one running...
Summary
Stay as far away from Network Magic and Easy Link Advisor as possible... I have no idea what the reports are collecting that they don't let me see or stop. Maybe they're empty..? But why can't a company like Cisco or Linksys, who are supposed to be so advanced, create a program that works.?

Easy visual management of connections

Unreliable. After running on a secure WPA network, apparently I have been on an unsecured, open WiFi, probably since a software update some time ago. Cisco support blamed me for not paying attention during an update.... So their software updates deletes security settings and revert them to standard unsecured.
Summary
Don't use this software.

Lots of useful infromation, and very accessible
Cons
Slowed my internet, didn't offer any tech support, slowed the connection for my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The minute I uninstalled the software, excellent connection.
Summary
not enough pros to outweigh the headaches...

I liked the features of Easy Link Advisor 3.11.9.
Cons
Easy Link Advisor 3.11.9 is no longer endorsed by Linksys. It creates an error message stating that NETSH.EXE can not be found and needs to be reinstalled. I called Linksys Tec Support and they were unable to help. They suggested that I delite it.
Summary
Linksys I download Net Magic and sold me a computer repair service called Supportrix at $199.99 to repair the damage done by Easy Link Advisor.The tec rep at Supportrix was able to delete the Advisor and repair the damage. The Easy Link Advisor was a very costly download. We did download Net Magiic. All looked great With Easy Link Advisor until you shut down your computer and rebooted.This happened several times I got the people at Supportrix involved and they were able to install Net Magic and get it working after I bought their support prograram.

Have a linksys router so its no brainer why i picked this program, But Very easy to use and dont have to worry about connection can check anytime in the background, and it pops up a alert that one pc is offline or printer

Someone said it wont do wireless? I dont know i like hard wire better WiFi is too slow,

Love this program i just wish they would advertise it on there own website a little bit, cause thats where you first go for trouble shooting.
