Version: Legends of Terris 0.423
"Not worth $15/month....not worth $.01/century."
Pros: I liked this game when it was free. Now it is $15/month (as much as a graphic MMORPG). The game had approximately 600+ players on at any given time when it was free. Now that they charge, you're lucky if there are 40 people on during peak hours. The only "pro" about Terris, if any, is that it USED to be a good game. The strength was the huge playerbase and roleplaying community which was very nice...they killed that.
Cons: This game used to be amazing. Then, the creators got greedy. Now they just let it sit there on the web, raking in as much money as they can from the few addicts left. The game has not even been updated since they started charging, more than a minor change or two. The staff are rude. They don't use real customer service but instead insist on 100% always roleplaying and thus think they are actual GODS (even in customer service queries). So you have to bow and be polite or you get a smite or something. Run by greedy and socially inept British computer nerds, stay away from this game. Go spend your FIFTEEN BUCKS A MONTH on something like an actual MMORPG with graphics or alcohol.

Version: Legends of Terris 0.423
Pros: Legends of Terris expands your mind to a world that you can come to embrase just as strongly as you did with the D20 games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Dragonlance. You enter a very strongly built game that has been tried and true for the last 13 years, and will remain to be strong for the next 132 years.
Cons: There are a few typos in the room descriptions and I would like to see a few more players to converse with. I remember back in the days when Terris would have thousands of players just lining up to join the guilds of their choice and adventure throught the night.

"This is only a free trial which means it has limitations"
Pros: I like their game description.
Cons: I went to their website. They are calling this game only a free trial. To me that means you eventually have to pay for it. It should not be listed as free.

"Step up from a text based mud"
Pros: A step up from a text based mud. Nice maps
Cons: Would like to see dynamic graphics for example when move into a room see something.

"Legends of Terris is SUPPOSED to be text based"
Pros: Legends of Terris has is a text based fantasy game that's been around for over 10 years. The graphical interface is really a front end to make it easier to do things. One really can get around just typing text.
Cons: When you get up in age, it gets difficult to level up and on top of that it's very easy to lose all your experience earned in game play when you die. It makes the game much less fun than it used to be.
Summary: This was my favorite of the many text based games out 10 years ago. I haven't really played any text based games in a long while. My last Terris log in was 2006! My characters are still there. At least they gain age modifiers.
