  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I had the problem that a lot of people had with LazyMouse when using Safari 4. Safari crashed when I visited the online Apple Store. I added to the bug report and disabled the functionality in Safari. Imagine my surprise when I got an unsolicited email from the developer when Safari 4.0.2 was released asking me to test LazyMouse again. Long story short, I was able to use LazyMouse in Safari again. Responsiveness like that gets 5 stars across the board! Oh, by the way, I love the functionality, too!

I've bugged Kensington to death about this to no avail. So I was thrilled to find LazyMouse. It works great and I haven't noticed any side effects. THANKS LAZY MOUSE for providing a sorely-missed utility.

But personally I found $7 a bit much for the one trick, especially since hitting return does the same thing. BUT... I see that it has really helped some people, so I don't want to be too negative. I guess it's a 'try it and see if it helps you' sort of app.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is utility is invaluable if you are trying to use your mac as a Media Centre. One time when you cant just hit return is when you don't even have a keyboard connected to your mac. Trying to navigate around the screen to the dialog buttons with a wireless remote like the ATI Wonder is (bless it) not exactly the easiest of things. Lazy Mouse solves this. One feature I would &lt;b&gt;desperately&lt;/b&gt; like to see added is a setting allowing the cursor to snap to the non default button. Most applications (including, unfortuanely EyeTV) run in what I like to call the 'You're a Dumb @rse' mode. Every single action brings up a dialog box like: "I know you took the trouble to navigate all the way over to this button but... are you SURE you want to delete that file. ...Are you SURE you want to stop this progam recording"? The default on all these dialogs is always the "No (I'm a dumb @rse)" button. If Lazy Mouse had the option to snap to the non default button, users could quickly dismiss the dialog box. All in all, highly recommended for Mac media Centres

It may seem trivial, but it's really a huge convenience and should be built into the OS. To answer the reviewer who said "why not just hit the "enter" button": When you're doing a repetetive operation on a bunch of files and you've got one hand on the keyboard shortcut(s) for the operation(s) and the other on the mouse, it can be a real slowdown to have to move either your keyboard hand or your mouse hand. For everyday operations it's just a simple pleasure (and RSI reducer). I haven't used it extensively enough yet to judge its stability and compatibility.

Actually, it probably has paid for itself considering the total time I've saved not having to drag accross a trackpad; it speeds up navigation greatly. Yes, you can just hit the return key (*if* that's the selection you wanted), but some of us do get lazy, so it's aptly named. I've never had the slightest problem with this software, and I feel it's fairly priced.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I bought a Microsoft Optical tracjkball, and was surprised that the software couldn't be set up to make the cursor snap to the default button, as I had always set up my various Logitech trackballs to do in OS9. So, Lazy Mouse works well for me - it seems to be the only application of its kind for OSX.
