I purchased KSnipe Software Submitter—quarterly Subscription last week. When I attempted to upload my software to several forums, the KSnipe Software required me to file the FTP information. I was wondering about it. Thus, I contacted with the KSnipe supporting team. They explained to me very quickly and told me that the FTP information is for uploading the PAD file for my software to my server. Actually, most download sites can parse the information of my software from the PAD on my FTP server. If I have already put my PAD file online, I don't need to upload the PAD file again. I can just provide a link and the KSnipe Software Submitter will do the rest for me automatically. Cool.

Cons
There seem to be better alternatives out there, that work faster and better (not sure about the price though). Two that come to mind are first PayPerSeed and perhaps No Hands SEO.
