"Great but..."

The Jam upgrade for Toast 6 Titanium users is a little bit overpriced in UK Roxio online store. I've contacted sales stuff but they didn't answer.
Still it's amazing app!

"Great!"

 |  Version: Jam 6.0.2

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I purchased the Toast with Jam package, and burned a DVD audio and video mix in Toast's DVD-MA format with 4 music playlists of several hours each - including aiff digitized with CD Spin Doctor from LP records - some WAVs many MP3s and my iTunes AAC collection. (Why no WMA support? I had to burn those to another CD and rip) Then, DV video clips on the same disc. The total is over 20 hours long, plays in my DVD player perfectly and, although I would prefer more customization options for the background, all in all, an excellent result.
A ruined disc problem has shown itself to be bad media: the next disc was a success.
Minor problem: the track view is a little jumpy when scrolling the playlist, but not so bad.
So, I would definitely recommend it.

"You fixed it!"

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Positive: impressive feature set, stable super useful product that adds function to Toast Video and Audio
Negative: been waiting for this update for too long, in my opinion. Still, the bugs that have plagued me since its release are fixed with this update.

Too long to wait for bug fixes, though, so only 4 stars. We're customers, not beta testers, you know.

"Jam 6.0 ia a COMPLETE WASTE!!!"

Roxio really dropped the ball on this one. Version 6.0.1 is NOWHERE to be found and 6.0 is very buggy. Cannot keep files properly saved. Only saves "My CD" files and loses all saved edits. Pretty bad bug to slip through. Check other sites, such as Digi, ect., I'm not the only one. Roxio website still does NOT list the product and no update information. Very Lame. Pretty bad purchase for me..

"Great Package"

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It's a snap to choose Dolby Digital or PCM sound for videos and the cool DVD music albums. Also, there is now an autostart option for DVDs. Those are the improvements to Toast 6 (it is now version 6.0.4). Jam 6 is surprisingly easy to learn for making audio CDs with cross fades and sound normalization. Plus it is bundled with Bias Peak Express 4 and includes two Roxio VST plug ins. The Jam 6 preferences can open an audio track straight from Jam 6 into Peak or another audio editing application. Jam 6 also supports audio indexing and can read just about any audio format including the Dolby Digital AC3 from video DVDs. I'm also pleased to get Motion Pictures, Deja Vu, CD SpinDoctor 2 and Discus. Don't buy this upgrade if you have Toast & Jam 5 and don't plan to use these new features. I am going to use them so the package is an excellent value to me.

I just got my copy of Toast with Jam a couple days ago and it's great. The DVD Music Album feature is really cool. I can burn almost 40 hours of my iTunes collection on a DVD with Dolby Digital. I can get 2 hours of Video on DVD now also. Great product so far.
