  Pros

  My programming skills are often more wishful thinking than actual production, mostly just a hobby. So I enjoy new software but cannot usually make good use of it when it comes to real program development.

  Cons

  Non that stand out. My only observation was simply it did not do the work for me. Real skills here were not my forte.

  Summary

  Try it out and see if it provides you any shortcuts and ease of production techniques. If so, it could be useful for some.

• A little more Beautiful and Functional than jGRASP

  Pros

  Absolutely stunning Visual Studio 2008-2010-ish interface (very sophisticated but yet simple-to-use), and is as functional if not more functional than jGRASP. Customizable -choose the color for java key-words and other elements within your code.

  Cons

  Strange I didn't find this jewel earlier. The only thing i see this app missing is the ability to create JAR executable files, and maybe even Java based .EXE files, but other than that...(see bottom-line summary)

  -if you're currently using jGRASP in a Java-1(basic CSC151) or Java-2(Advanced CSC251) class at your college, this is the perfect app for you to continue to fine tune your Java programming skills. It is very functional, and beautiful, and if jGRASP is just not offering you the features needed to do your homework you may want to give this little app a try! Can't lose anything cuz It's free!! Many Accolades to the dev.'s this is really high-quality work!! kutgw!!

  Summary

  The product has been super for years. Now it is a total waste of time. I can't do the work that I need to do because this product hangs multiple times per day. I cringe each time I realize I need to use the application again. I hate it. It causes frustration and anger as it takes 3 or 4 times longer to do any task than it should. Often, I spend more time killing the "non-responding" application than I do actually doing work.

  The program has all the essentials. It's lightweight, an easy download, free, and easy to use. I use this program in my Computer Science class, and like it.

  Cons

  There's better stuff out there, even for free. If you want the best I'd recommend Eclipse, that's what I usually use at home.

  Pros

  with this software hitting the software market(that too free..) the longing for a software to replace the conventional method of writing the java program in notepad and then compiling it using a java compiler has been overcome. The main thing i liked about this software is the automatic placement of curly braces as and when needed that too beautifully distinguished from other braces,and the other highlight of the software being its ability to create xml,html,jsp and plain files;the other standout feature of the software was it highlights the errors of the program clearly and also shows what type of error it is including the line in which it has been created....on the whole it is a very impressive step in the world of compiling java programs

  Cons

  initially we have to set the paths..need not be treated as a great disadvantage as the help file shows you how to do it.....
