dont believe any review online which is fake ads. this software i have purchase and running, but it cant kill the virus. and after 2 days the virus is appeal again encrypt all my file again and this stupid software not even pop up or prevent this happen. what a shame and useless software.
refund is not applicable as well.

Pros
worth every penny, i have used the much praised malwarebytes in the past but there is frankly no comparison, Spyhunter4 is so comprehensive its stunning!!!

It does detect browser hijacking software really, really well.
Cons
The scans take forever. On one of my computers, it takes about 5+ hours to run a full scan. On another computer, with a much larger hard drive, it takes 12+ hours to run a full scan. The subscription price is way too high for a software that takes this long to scan.
Summary
I would recommend this product ONLY IF: (a) you have a known virus/malware/browser hijacker; and (b) you can't find another product that will detect and successfully remove the problem.

Thank you. As in anti-spyware but actually adware. Poor review @ CNet too.
Pros
-The best at detecting browser highjackers and spyware in general and the best by far at removing them, also very good with rootkits.
-Also very good at scanning and cleaning Windows Registry for spyware infections.
-Not only scans; but it also monitors and actively protects a lot of important things like DNS changes, proxy changes, processes, the HOSTS file, the LSP Chain, Home Page protection, desktop shortcuts, and others.
-There is a Spyware Helpdesk, and they reply very fast and they are usually very knowledgeable. And in the rare event if the infection can not be automatically removed by SpyHunter, they offer a custom fix that SpyHunter will run personalised just for your computer and just for your type of infection.
Cons
-It's only a anti-spyware product but it's way more expensive than any anti-virus I know. The license is not for 1 year but only for 6 months, and it's only for 1 computer.
-Updates to the malware signatures or definitions are usually only once a day, and sometimes for several days.
-Does NOT actively block known spyware websites, and it does NOT actively block known spyware from infecting your computer. It lets you get infected, then users must use the Scan function for detection and removal.
-Users can not select what to Scan using the Windows context menu, so if you want to scan for example just 1(one) file, you will have to do a scan to all the files in the computer.
-Does not scan removable media on demand.
-Even in the PAID version, and even if you select you don't want to buy or to install the "Registry Scan"; the advertisement bar for the "Registry Scan" will be there and very highlighted in yellow.
-User manual is very outdated and it has got a lot of errors too.
Summary
By far the very best Anti-Spyware and Anti-BrowserHighjacker out there, but still not as good as it could be and as it should be and especially not for its WILD price tag.

I got suckered into this software when my laptop got infected and I read about this tool in a forum. First time I installed it for free it took hours to scan and found "issues" that needed to be fixed. So I click the 'fix' button and then you are prompted to purchase the software. So you kind of forced to pay to fix it. But I've had several issues that keep coming back. Their tech support is useless in their directions to permantly remove the infections. I ended up finding free solutions on the Malwarebytes forum and fixed my laptop myself. I could have saved myself the $39.99. On top of that they automatically renew the $39.99 every six months (READ THE FINE PRINT). I guess at least they were nice enough to warn me that the I was going to be charged again in 7 days. I've since then canceled the subscription. However I have not recieved a confirmation that the cancelation went thru (how long should it take?). Luckely I've made screen shots of the cancelation process pages in case they are unable to do this correctly also. Run away form this software. It's no better than the malware infection you might have.

Makes a list of spyware on your computer

Takes about three hours to scan your computer then you have to buy the full version and it takes another three hours to scan.
Does not remove all the spyware but it does remove all your passwords!
It now takes three goes and 25 minutes to boot up my computer
Summary
I have turned SpyHunter off and hopefully I will get my life back!
Waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
