The program's main interface is incredibly simple to operate; it practically holds your hand through the entire process. It breaks down all the commands into icons that make navigation simple and intuitive. We were pleased with the program's flexibility, especially the file tree that allowed us to pick and choose which parts of our Web browsers we wanted cleaned. For instance, if we didn't want our cookies removed from Firefox but did from Explorer, it wasn't a problem for Internet Secrets Protector. The program took about one minute to fully scan our browsers and left them clean of any sensitive personal data or cookies. It'd be a great choice for novice computer users who want solid protection but don't need a lot of bells and whistles. The program also tosses in a bevy of special features, such as a file shredder that can completely erase any document. The program's Scheduler lets you clean your system automatically.

Internet Secrets Protector is freeware. We highly recommend it.

Don't Bother Downloading

Don't now of any. Couldn't get get program to run.

Downloaded Internet Secrets Protector from CNet.com and installed it. When I ran it, I got the message "a new version is available, would you like to download it". I clicked yes, but I don't know where it downloaded to. So I went to the website given in the message and downloaded the program so I could find the download location. I installed and ran it. I got same message about a new version being available, do you want to download it. If I checked "no" the program quit. At this point I uninstalled the program.
Summary
Worthless. If you download it from CNet.com or the publishers website It gives the same message: "a new version is available." My recommendation: don't bother downloading.

Couldn't run the program to find any pros

Couldn't even open. Every time I tried to start it would tell me a newer version was available. I tried downloading the newer version but it kept telling me a newer version was available. If I clicked no to download the newer version, the program would close. Couldn't even start it.

Where do I start. First off, can't see what the stuff being shown and cleaned. Using Windows 7 and this program crashed my computer.

I couldn't close the program at all. Thankfully I was using Acronis Try&Decide and discard the changes to my computer. My mouse cursor was erractic and I couldn't bring up task manager to close it. In the end, I had to hold down the power button to turn it off and discard the changes while booting up again. If this happened to me and the guy below me too, I think this program is NOT for Windows 7 although it said in the system requirement that it is compatible. I doubt it.

Tried it on my windows 7, doesn't do anything but crash, pretty certain its windows 7 and not anything else.

I'm not going to flame it, seems to be okay a standard junk cleaner, but kept crashing for me, didn't shred any files and didn't do anything at all to the cookies ect to Firefox. UI is easy to use though, I un-installed after 3 minutes.

I was having problems with my computer when my hard drive died so I took it in to my local computer tech who put in a new hard drive, transferred my data, and included some awesome programs to keep my computer clean and running fast. This program works fast, deletes a lot of needless files that take up space and such.
