  cannot play local movies, only DVDs little support not officially supported on Windows 7 (only Vista) I've never gotten it to play a DVD (so I can't test it out) interface is too minimal, only play and stop button

  Pros? I can't think of any, I can't play my DVD on my PC.

  You can't use a product you already bought and paid for due to draconian DRM program InterActual which, in addition to not still working after it's mandatory install, also doesn't include codecs for known, already used video players like Windows Media Player or iTunes.

  Summary

  I can't believe any user here rated this above a 1. You should not have to require special programs to play a DVD on your PC. With the current DRM abilities in contemporary programs, this should not be thought if, let alone required. Disgraceful, it's DRM measures like this that people use as an excuse when they pirate media.

  Worked for me perfectly even when Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 wouldn't. P-DVD8 was choppy and unsynchronized, even when hardware acceleration was enabled. But InterActual player was perfect. High quality sound & video plus very easy to use.

  Cons

  Initially had an error which the player indicated was a sound card problem. There was little if any assistance on the InterActual website for this error code.

  There was little if any assistance on the InterActual website for this error code. However, after painstaking research I learned how to fix it. A simple download of an all-encompassing one-size-fits-all dvd codec package was all it took and the player began working perfectly. Even though it was a hassle to fix the initial error, InterActual has quicklky become my favorite player, and my player of choice. I highly recommend it!

  I had this on my old laptop (who runs still with Windows 98) and it was very good. But I erased it by mistake and when I downloaded it, I found there is NO WAY that it works with Windows nowadays, because ALL THE PROGRAMS TO CHANGE .DMG FILES TO .EXE FILES DON'T WORK WITH THIS. So, everybody, KEEP LARGE OF InterActual Player....unless you have MAC.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />InterActual have released a version 1.3 Player on the Haunted Mansion DVD, and the features for Mac on that DVD are practically the same as the PC. DVD-ROM content is now rendered in the DVD video window next to the video, and you can instantly jump to chapters and special features in the video, or launch applications from the DVD, such as the cool Ghostly Effects Studio, where you can morph yourself into a character from the film. The player now also supports Matrix Revolutions and Around the World in 80 days.

  ...Interactual for support OS X<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Hey Guys, this Player does only show Websides on a special Moment in the Video and nothing more. It's like the same as on Windows.... Well on the other side if ther is other Interactiv Content on DVD, it's most times only for Windows user because there are stupid enough (because there are using Windos) to watch the extra DVD Content. Well im'making these special content and can tell you that you have nothing missed. I have never found or watch a DVD witch had nice interactiv Special content on it and my libary is 3000 DVD's big....so you miss nothing as a Mac User ok....so understand it

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I am SO pleased that we Mac users will finally be able to access the InterActual content on DVDs. I can't tell you how grateful I am to them for finally doing this. But... I'm disappointed it won't work with ANY of my existing DVDs (except that I can watch them, but I could do that already). I understand the technical reasons why, but I'm disappointed nevertheless. This is an important first step. I can see how people who are used to being able to access this content on their PCs would not want to lose that ability when switching to a Mac. If future DVDs will work on both, that's one less obstacle to switching.
