Index.dat Suite's button and spreadsheet-style interface may take a few moments to master, but experienced users will find it flexible and robust. The program's short Help file adequately explains the program for less-experienced users.

Index.dat Suite's operation begins with a simple button click to search your hard drives for Index.dat files. The resulting list is easy to browse, with quick single-click display of files with visible contents. Most users without an interest in the DAT files will prefer the single hot-key cleaning tool. Cookies, history, recent lists, temp files, and temporary Internet files are all easily erased. Those who like DOS batch files will appreciate the program's batch creator. One click and the app builds a batch file to delete all found Index.dat files, and clean preset settings such as cookies, history, and temp files. The app goes the extra step by adding the batch file to the Registry's RunOnce hive and creating a Restore Point.

Nothing, DO NOT UPDATE, the old version works.
Cons
Will not work with Windows Home Premium.
Summary
The earlier version works very well on Home Premium as long as you do not let explorer 8 near your system!

It seems to be a good program, it does show a lot of info

Maybe I just missed it but I could not find how to actually use this information. Maybe I just don't know enough but I was hesitant to delete anything.

For a more advanced user this is probably great.

LOL, If your a privacy buff . It will show you every where you have been. You think you deleted them but they are still there. Cool program.

Pros
It is more comprehensive than most products and in my experience of using it over several years, I have only had good luck with it.
Cons
I would like to see the documentation of what each category contains informationl-wise and what it is used for, both helpful to the user or not and what could be harmful to clean up as well as will help.
Summary
I highly recommend this product, but do some research before deciding to clean up or delete everything that is reported.
This program works but has a flaw.

Pros
It has to scan your hard drives to find the index .dat files. Then on the toolbar you have to click generate file, and it generates a batch file used to delete the index .dat files. <p>Also on the toolbar you can view history, temporary internet files, cookies, recent documents, and temp files. Click on tools and you can delete cookies, history, recent documents, temp files, and typed URLs.
Cons
The flaw this program has, is it will not delete temporary internet files.
