    Version: Image Sizer 1.03.17

"Version 1.03.17 is Great. Version 1.04.18 is Even Better?"

    by free_usa_shipping on December 10, 2007

Pros: In 2006 I needed an easy to use utility to crop and resize pictures. So I gave Image Sizer a 10 day free trial and bought it after finding it more than adequate. I have been using it for more than a year and have had no complaints. I open a folder, select a picture, crop, resize, and save. Perfect. Of course it does much more than this, but that's all I really need it to do.

5 out of 5 stars. It's a sweet utility that I enjoy using. Unless you can find a utility that manipulates pictures the way you want for free, I highly recommend Image Sizer.

Cons: My PC crashed recently and I lost the product key needed to reinstall Image Sizer. So I emailed Data Product Services (DPS) through their website, but had not received a reply in over a week. So I sent a second request through their website and received my product key within a couple days. They asked to allow 4 days for a response but took about 10 days.

After reinstalling version 1.03.17, I upgraded to the new version of Image Sizer, 1.04.18, for free through DPS. The two versions look similar, but I have not used the new one much so I really couldn't say if it's better. However, on thing I noticed off that I did not like with the new version is the crop function now requires 2 steps instead of 1. Kind of makes me want to switch back to the earlier version. I would still rate the new version 5 out of 5 stars, but it's not listed currently listed at c/net.
