Pros
1. Opens, imports file or clipboard mage, converts to correct format, saves as .ico
2. Images have smoother edges than some other programs, including Efiresoft's offeringCons
1. Image editor does not function. Must edit in a photo program and import
2. Icon images appear much darker on desktop than in preview window
3. Help file shows functionality that actual program does not perform
4. HIJACKS ADOBE READER for viewing PDF files--VERY BAD, shame! There was no option to omit this nasty feature during the download. This is unacceptable to me.Summary
The programmer uploaded vs 6.31.20130225 following a flurry of 1-star ratings. This new version does perform somewhat, though nothing to the extent of the screenshots in the help file. I am quite displeased to see how hidden add-ons to the download file hijack Adobe Reader as the default for viewing PDF files--very poor and deceptive practice.
