"maybe they went out of business?"
Version: Hex Edit Free 3.0F
Pros
can't say because was unable to download product.
Cons
Download link took me to a generic page that looked like it was from an ISP that now had the URL. There were a gajillion buttons to download many different files, all of which had a name similar to this product. I could not safely guess which one MIGHT have been the correct button and at this point it all looked dangerous.

"Super Nice Lightweight Free Hex Editor. Perfect."
Version: Hex Edit Free 3.0F
Pros
I really like this product. I often use it as a file viewer because it can open files of any size without having to load the whole file into memory. I also use it to change the UUID of VMDK files that I copy so that I don't get the warning abt dup
Cons
Nothing really.
Summary
This is a perfect little lightweight product. I'm sure that if you use a hex editor all day long there is probably some features that this does not have, and when I say that I dont know if it has every needed feature or not. I use a hex editor every once in a while, and this one is perfect for me. And it's free, so what more could you ask for.
