It may work better than I think as I discovered a faulty HP USB cable after it failed totally. For PPC I would recommend it. Vuescan can use it, but only while running in Rosetta (as HP drivers are still PPC)

Still clunky, and haven't tested all the dumb features (fax/email), but the basic scan did work just fine.
