I have no pros to report on this.
When trying to download this software I got TONS of firewall alerts, then my antivirus reported that it blocked "luckyleap0816.exe" as being a virus.
Don't download it.
Does all it says
Like sunsound2 complained, it does NOT monitor my external USB HDD temperature.
I'll keep looking
Nice little utility to get your HD information.
Runs on Win 7 just fine
Can benchmark drives for performance
Temperture, SMART item status
One small item. On my Seagate 1T it shows it as healthy yet yellow lines three status items--with no explanation what the yellow line means.
A built-in definition and OK operating ranges for the stats woulod be very helpful.
I am keeping it as my office gets warm in summer and I want to keep an eye on drive temps. Plus the cost was great (free)
Quick install, very accurate
can't get write speeds on the free version
All in all a good bit of software for getting a rough idea of various hard drive speeds.
Checks hard drive speed with large, medium and small files.
Can check all drives in your computer, even USB flash drives and external hard drives.
Shows temperature of internal hard drives.
Check for errors on the drive (wear and tear).
Can test slow/accurate or fast/rough guide.
Only checks speed for one size of file at a time.
Is your computer running slow? Is your several-years-old hard drive making Windows seem sluggish? Do you suspect it may be time to upgrade/install a new, faster drive? Did you just buy a fancy new SSD type drive and want to know how fast it is? This HD Tune utility program is just the thing to run a health and speed check on your hard drive(s). Drive speed varies depending on file size, so check the speed at, say, 3 different file sizes (or more) to get a good idea of overall performance. At the top of the HD Tune window click on the little yellow "gearwheels" icon, then on left-hand menu click on "Settings". Now you'll see a drop-down menu that lets you choose a file size. Suggest you test small file (4kb), medium (512kb), and large (4MB or 4096kb). Also take note of drive temperature at top of main window. If it's above, say, 38 C. then you need more airflow in your case or the drive is worn out! All in all, a handy utility to have around.

Does its thing.
None so far.
Small footprint- big job!
Has a very fast disk check, shows the temp in both C and F, gives info on each drive (don't know if it is all correct), and has a benchmark module. All very quick.
No cons yet.
I was able to find the cause of a problem I was having a problem with.
None at this time.
This program has help me find the problem on two computers. One would reboot occasionally by its self and one that work fne until you rebooted. Both were heat related problems.
