Hasn't been updated since 2003. Runs on rosetta. Pretty clunky and now it will be killed by Lion.

Pros
Includes a large set of graphics supporting many templates. Graphics and text is fairly easy to add and edit. The printing wizard is understandable.
Cons
Very awkward to preview cards: you must open a card to see inside. If you don't want it, you must: close it, Choose a Template, resize the previews, scroll to where you were, open... repeat. No nudge for small movements. Only one message per card.
Summary
Greeting Card Factory is usable, but awkward. I expected by version 8.0 to find a much easier to use and solid program.
The process of finding the card you want is too clumsy. The inside of the card is only viewable after you open the card and only one message is available for each. You can search, but only by their nearly random titles; search doesn't use the message text: not useful.
The printing wizard shows how to load your printer using a cute animation; a static picture would be better. The program often refuses to print envelopes unless you close it and run it again.
You can have different properties in the same text item, but keeping those different properties usually means resetting them each time you edit the text; all are silently reset to one property.
There is no nudge to move card elements a small amount so it's tricky to get you elements where you want them. This is particularly true when you change the text. I often find I need to tweak their text so this is frustrating.
Overall, the program works, but it has many rough edges that should have been polished long before version 8. -

Well - at least the promotional material looked and sounded really good
Cons
Comes in an SIT (Stuff-It) file. You must have the Stuff-It expander installed (which I do). The VICE program that installs the software said that "The default location cannot be found - Installation cancelled".. Bummer..
Summary
I'd REALLY like a good greeting card program to use on my MacBook Pro. I am willing to pay for the product that actually works and doesn't produce cards that look like a 4 year old did them. It's not that I'm cheap and won't go to the store to buy them. I am not mobile so I am stuck here. I also like things that people create themselves and place a much greater value on them than I do anything that is store boughten.

I don't know why, but this program will not launch in a user account. It crashes every time. It only runs in an administrator account, which makes it useless. What a poor product. -

This is poorly designed software. It can only be used in one user account on the Mac. Other users on the same Mac do not have access to the graphics which are important for creating the cards. Also, there are very limited options for printing. I was hoping to be able to print on 8.5 x 5.5 inch photo paper, but there is no custom setting for paper size. Also, one canâ??t resize user windows. The default window is too small.
