This chart-based tool lets you build a personal or family budget that closely matches your income. There's no need to enter every expense transaction; for each expense category, just enter your estimate for whatever time period is most natural, and the program will instantly build this into an annual budget tree. Then model your income stream using the large easy-to-see spin controls, adjusting parameters for income, interest, tax, and inflation rates to see your budget rescale instantly. The final printout can be customized as a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual budget, showing as many budget subcategories as you choose. With Graphic Accounts, you don't need to be an accountant to build a home budget.

Version 1.3 allows importing of expense report files from both Quicken and Microsoft Money.

Graphic Accounts takes an interesting and smart approach compared to its personal-finance-program competitors. At first glance, this easily installed program seems complicated. Though the interface is a bit chaotic, it performs well. Whatever your financial situation, the program provides excellent support for calculating finances and keeping track of your budget. Its tax features are particularly flexible, allowing a great degree of configuration. A positive feature of the demo is the lack of nag screens or serious functional limitations. Summing up its good and bad points and taking into account its fair price, users who take the time to get familiar with the interface will find this a useful personal-finance program.
