Since the iPod Touch inexplicably didnt come with a Google Maps application, and since maps.google.com doesnt work well on the Touch Safari browser, I wrote my own interface for Google Maps via the maps API here. The coolest thing is that you can drag the map around by using _two_ fingers.
You can also check traffic, get driving directions, and search for local businesses. The app also helpfully remembers the addresses youve used in the past so you dont have to re-enter common addresses each time.

Pros
Proven, reliable and accurate maps; and Google actually wrote the software from their own ideas. Something crApple doesn't do since their either steal the idea or buy someone out (Final Cut etc.)
Cons
We'll be losing Google Maps soon. Google is an open target now for crApple with Google board members leaving. crApple will undoubtedly will steal the idea of Google Maps and come out with another iNOvative stolen application.
