Publisher's Description
From Tamer Louis:
Google Earth Voyager (GEV) is a program for automatically building a Google Earth cache file for a specified geographic area. GEV does this by controlling Google Earth, making it systematically scan over the area you want to cache. Google Earth caches what you see on the screen. This means that the size, resolution and selected layers is saved in a file on your hard disk. The next time you look at the same area, Google Earth will first check to see if it can retrieve the data from the cache in order to save time and bandwidth. This also means you can use Google Earth offline as long as the area you want to look at is available in the cache. You can scan an area into the cache by using your mouse to manually move the viewpoint in Google Earth over the area. Unfortunately this is not very practical when you want to scan larger areas with a detailed zoom-level.
This is where GEV comes in: it can tell Google Earth to move the screen viewpoint around in a systematic fashion.

"Doesn't work w/ GE6!"
Version: Google Earth Voyager 6.0
Pros
The myplaces.kml file that comes w/ GEV causes an error:
"Unknown element <styleUrl>"
at line 350, column 6
You can ignore that, but I decided to try to remove GEV [if it has script errors, I can't trust it]. Unfortunately, GEV is not registered, so I couldn't uninstall it via the Win 7 facility. There is no uninstall executable that came w/ GEV, so I tried to delete the 3 files. They came back! I tried everything I could think of...clearing every cache I could find...even uninstalled GE and reinstalled it. I still get that <styleUrl> error in the myplaces.kml file which only exists in my C:/Users/name/AppData/LocalLow/Google/GoogleEarth folder
I can't find it elsewhere. I deleted the .zip file and the folder where it was originally unzipped. Yet it persists, like a virus!
I would not recommend this program to anyone!!!Cons
Never got far enough to see any benefit.
Summary
GEV is a virus!!!

"Aerials are old and outdated."
Version: Google Earth Voyager 6.0
Pros
Fairly easy to use.
Cons
Aerials need to be updated more frequently.
Summary
Don't use it much because it's outdated and useless for the most part. Other sites are much more up to date.
