This rather simple game earns points for its user-customization options, although its repetitive gameplay and low-rent graphics may disenchant some users. In Gold Digger: The Lost Mines, you play a miner who must gather all the gold on the board while avoiding various hazards and enemies. However, since your adversaries aren't really aggressive, the real challenge here is figuring out how to navigate the different levels and gaps. Still, if you're feeling particulaly bold, you can attack your foes to earn more points. Graphically, this program isn't impressive, featuring tiny, crudely rendered characters that are tough to see, especially since the game can't be resized to full-screen mode. Nevertheless, the rest of the feature set is rather comprehensive, letting you reconfigure the keyboard controls, select the difficulty level, disable the audio, and change the game speed. Fans of platform-based arcade games might get a quick thrill out of Gold Digger: The Lost Mines, as long as they don't expect anything revolutionary.Publisher's description
