Time to kick your download speeds up a notch? How about 20 notches? With files mirrored on several sites, Gigaget Download Manager sped up downloads up to 20 times in our tests. Naturally, it can pause and resume downloads, pull down files in several threads, and integrate itself into Internet Explorer. (It's supposed to integrate with Firefox, too, but didn't in our tests). On the minus side, Gigaget Download Manager doesnt support scheduling and cant automatically sort downloaded files by extension. Also, each time we started a new download, it popped up a dialog window prompting us to install a Chinese language pack. Those shortcomings aside, Gigaget Download Manager can help users get the most out of a broadband connection. It's not the best freeware option out there, but it's not a bad one, either.

I installed it and tried several times to integrate it into Firefox but to no avail. I tried the support and FAQ links in the app and they took me to a Chinese site that seemed to be related to movies and not the app.
I uninstalled it and went back to Flashget. -

IT SEEMS LIKE ALIEN TECHNOLOGY. FAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME. AND ITS FREE!! UNBELIEVABLE! Anyway; it gives 10-30 times more speed than your browsers on simple installation. It is free and neat ;!!!!

As a very heavy user of internet; I download typically 5 GBytes data every day.. This software is MIRACLE to say the least. Gives atleast 5-10 the speed of Internet download manager. Tried numerous download managers for last 15 years.IT IS THE BEST

NONE. EXCEPT THAT IT IS FREE. WHILE MANY OF ITS LOWER STANDARDS PEERS ARE HEAVILY PRICED. IT GIVES ULTRA-HIGH SPEED COMPARED TO ANY DOWNLOAD MANAGERS. So if you are on any limited data plan; be ready!!
Summary
IDM, touted as the best download manager in the world; was giving me 240 kbps. The Gigaget gave me on average minimum speed of 1920 kbps. So nothing short of miracle.

Can't get this to integrate with Firefox. When I click on integrate a screen comes up and I don;t know what it wants me to input?. When I click on the web site link button or help button, I am taken to a website that is written in Chinese Now what?

Workspace aint cluttered. Gives all the options for file downloading except scheduling. Still its great.
