Time to kick your download speeds up a notch? How about 20 notches? With files mirrored on several sites, Gigaget Download Manager sped up downloads up to 20 times in our tests. Naturally, it can pause and resume downloads, pull down files in several threads, and integrate itself into Internet Explorer. (It's supposed to integrate with Firefox, too, but didn't in our tests). On the minus side, Gigaget Download Manager doesnt support scheduling and cant automatically sort downloaded files by extension. Also, each time we started a new download, it popped up a dialog window prompting us to install a Chinese language pack. Those shortcomings aside, Gigaget Download Manager can help users get the most out of a broadband connection. It's not the best freeware option out there, but it's not a bad one, either.Publisher's description

"Seems this is one of - if not - the fastest downloader"
Pros: Great interface which is customizeable. When Gigaget finds alternates at his own database, it makes me quite happy when i have to download a huge file. So even if the original download server will fail, i might have a good chance to finish the download. The batch downloading can speed up multi-part downloads as well and i also like the right-click + Download All by Gigaget function, where you can add all links from the page to the download queue.
Cons: I'm waiting for the language support and an offline help would be great.

"This is my favorite, free download manager."
Pros: Visit the home page, it's worth checking out. It was designed by a couple of pretty smart people. It's fast, hits 99% of all downloads, has a great GUI and it's free. Although it lacks the feature to organize downloads by file type, it's easy to do on your own. And my favorite thing is, it works great on both "XP" and "Vista". I like it better then "DAP" because there are no adds (adware) associated with it like there is with the free version of "DAP".
Cons: What cons? This is a good, free download application.

"USEFULL SIMPLE COMPLETE DONT NEED OTHER"
Pros: simply interface, powerfull. Nice. complete. no spyware no adware. free.
Cons: used by 7 monts and no found cons.
