GanttProject is a tool for creating a project schedule by means of Gantt chart and resource load chart. With GanttProject you can break down your project into a tree of tasks and assign human resources that have to work on each task. You can also establish dependencies between tasks, like this task can't start until this one is finished.

GanttProject renders your project using two charts: Gantt chart for tasks and resource load chart for resources. You may print your charts, generate PDF and HTML reports, exchange data with Microsoft(R) Project(TM) and spreadsheet applications. Version 2.0.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Won't work for me"

Pros: I seems to have some good capabilities for creating Gantt charts, but not what I need.

Cons: I couldn't find any way to change the timeline to display months instead of days or weeks. I wanted to use it for preparing a marketing calendar and need a monthly overview, so it doesn't work for me.

"Does what it says on the tin!"

Pros: This is a very useful application. It is not difficult to use as there are no "fancy bits" on it. The layout is very clean and uncluttered.

Cons: The Help pages are very sparse, but as it is so user friendly, you should not need to resort to the help section.

Summary: I would definitely recommend this download.
