Go Launcher EX is an inventive app that you can use to customize your Android home screen into something unique.
After you install the Go Launcher EX app, you'll have the choice to use its own launcher interface or the default launch screen for Android. You can switch between these two options by clicking on the home link. The app's interface is quite rich in controls. The main menu is divided into three categories, Main, Plugins, and More, under which there are different options and features such as Go Widget, AppCenter, Preferences, Wallpaper, Themes, and Go Store. You can use the app to organize and customize the home screen with themes, different icon arrangements, and widgets, for a balance between style and function.
Installing this app didn't lead to lag for us, even on Android devices with low-clock-frequency single-core CPUs. Even though this app holds a large free library of different themes and widgets, the only downside perhaps is that you might have to purchase some of the themes and widgets in order to realize its full potential and beauty.
Go Launcher EX is perfect for people who are getting a bit tired of seeing the same old Android launch interface.

replaced the original launcher that was crippling my phone.

have not been able to download anything for this app every screen says connection error, unable to connect and a retry button..no help to be found

Pros
I have been using GO Launcher since my first Galaxy S and now with my Galaxy S II, I love the customization ability of all of their apps and they continue to improve.
Cons
Only con may be that some functionality of the app may not work on all models of Android phones. With my S II, I can not get continuous vertical scroll in the app tray, horizontal continuous yes but not vertical. To me a very small gripe for an overall excellent program!
Summary
To me the GO family of products are the best replacer apps available, and all are FREE. You can pay for themes and extensions if you can't find what you want in the basic program,but they include a range of choice, you can even create your own with them!
I think that the GO products give exactly what many get Android for, great choice and fantastic functionality!!! I highly recommend them!
