Step into the shoes of a General Manager of an ice hockey team with GM Hockey 2009. You can manage your own fantasy hockey team with it. You can pick players and coaches, conduct public relations, and more.

You have to create a username and password to use this program, but it's easy to do, and you can start playing as soon as you're logged on. The interface is dynamic and easy to read. This program has a lot of features and information, all well organized. The Help file covers how to play the game and details like how to manage players and set game options. Fans will enjoy the kitschy player photos. You can send your players to Rookie Camp and see how they fare. GM Hockey's media feature is fun to use. The interface includes a newspaper that keeps track of the team and its statistics, while the GM Desk tab in the menu allows you to manage your team's finances, sponsorships, and records. The Archives tab logs team awards as well as Draft History and Hall of Fame inductees.

This trial version of the software is limited to 25 uses. It installs and uninstalls with no problems. There are so many facets to GM Hockey 2009 that hockey fans will really feel like they're at the helm of their own team when they play it. This game would also be a good way to learn more about hockey and what it's like to manage a sports team.

Publisher's description

From Logique Eclectic :

Do you ever thought of becoming a General Manager for your favorite NHL team? Well, here's your chance. With GM Hockey 2009, you can do everything that comes with the job: trade players, put them on waivers, blame your coach for the long losing streak (and even fire him), blame your superstar for not performing enough, and so on. You can even get sponsorship and put the games on TV, for your fans! Before winning the Stanley Cup, you have alot of stairs to climb, from signing your prospects, to make your lineup, to watch the games, to answer questions at the press conference, to trade players at the trade deadline, and finally, making the playoffs. And then, will you still be up to the task, and claim the Stanley Cup? All choices are yours, and yours only. You manage your team the way you want it, and the players react to all your moves.
