This interesting puzzle game revamps Magic Inlay, although the 3D aspects don't affect gameplay. In Fresco Wizard, you must break the spell on enchanted objects by filling their 2D outlines with gems. You have to act quickly enough to prevent the well from overflowing while filling in all the empty spaces. At the beginning of the game, you choose a spell that gives you special powers, such as extra time. Magic tools let you destroy a jewel that you can't fit into an empty space. If you can't fit a jewel into a figure, you can drag it to the discard portal, which handles one jewel at a time. Lite mode lets you play without worrying about time limits. The main problem is that the game requires RealOne Arcade, the installation of which can be intrusive and time-consuming. We also experienced instability when trying to switch to the windowed mode from the default full-screen mode, and selecting and rotating the pieces seemed sluggish. Fans of mosaic games might find the 3D look of Fresco Wizard worth the bother, especially if they already have RealOne Arcade installed.
