Free PDF to Word Converter shares many things in common with its competitors besides a similar name. There are some useful features here that try to address the various needs and permutations of PDFs, but it struggles to get a final output that looks perfect.
There's no drag-and-drop support, but the program can batch-convert PDFs without being restricted to specific folders. You can also customize your output folder, and choose a destination format in RTF or DOC. There's support for high levels of security, with space to provide passwords from the PDF owner and the PDF user. You can remove graphics on conversion and micro-manage the spaces between words and text boxes. Free PDF to Word Converter smoothly handles specific page range conversions, too.
It doesn't fail outright on its final output, but be prepared for some minor yet annoying formatting errors, with occasional and minor word and image overlap. Keeping this in mind, Free PDF to Word Converter is still a decent and stable converter that's worth playing with--especially if you don't have any images in your source PDF.

Set off a bunch of adware warnings. I have downloaded C-Net software before, and some of it is loaded with adware and malware and pop-up ads.

Does not convert tables well at all. Formatting is a real challenge for this program. Even some of the trial-ware programs are better than this offering.

The pdf I wished to convert, did. Quick and simple. The tools menu is on the left side, and the process window is on the right. You can add several files, but I did one as a test.
Cons
After install you have to search to find the program, there is no link on the quick start or in the programs menu. There is too much overlapping in the text. Words are housed in text boxes, sometimes as the entire paragraph, but also single words. In which several tend to overlap. Not sure if it is the pre-pdf at fault or not.
Summary
I wanted something that would help make modifications to pdfs that are passed on. Meaning the ones my teacher gave me I can adapt to fit my needs. This program does not allow that. Conversion to word or rtf format is great for those who want to make more than a few adjustments.
