just moved 43Gb worth of m4a from itunes to windows. installed this app, pointed it to the folder with all the downloads and clicked convert. That's it. I am listening to the first few converted files as I type this

none. really. there's an add banner at the top of the software but all you need to do to remove that is to register on the developer's website

Very easy to use, does exactly what it promises (I converted dozens of m4a and m4b files to mp3). Supports high mp3 bitrates (up to 320 Kbit/s).
Cons
Some ads, which can be disabled. Cannot blame a free app for that, though, it's really useful and nice.

Did exactly what I needed to do, which was to convert some m4a files to mp3. As for the program not working at all the previous reviewer must be technically illiterate as it installed without issue and worked exactly as I would have expected for a free conversion tool and saved to designated folder just fine.

It doesn't convert anything. After fully installing and running the program, I clicked 'convert' and it just directs you to download the "updated" version on their site. Seems kinda fishy, eh? I had just downloaded this one. Shouldn't it be current? I'm not downloading offsite. VERY sneaky.

There are no pros, the editors rating is infuriating. Literally a system killer once installed.

installed at least 8 pieces of software, complete with their own branching malware, without permission. I spent a fruitless hour trying to stay a step ahead... cancelling processes, shutting down services, uninstalling programs that happily reinstalled themselves with not a peep from windows defender. This was a BRAND NEW install of windows 8.1. This was very lucky for me as I ended up having no choice but to reinstall my OS in order to get rid of all the malicious crap. malewarebytes successfully got rid of 197(!) pieces of maleware but did not catch everything. This is the last piece of software I will ever download from a cnet-owned website. This once trustworthy company should be completely ashamed.
