There's a lot to like about this tool that secures folders, but Free Folder Hider turns out to be a name open to interpretation. In the literal sense, it's accurate, since you can hide a single folder for free, but if you want to protect more than one, you'll have to pay up.
Free Folder Hider requires set up of a password for accessing the program, so you're protected from the very beginning. The main user interface offers self-explanatory buttons for adding folders to the private folder list, opening the folders, locking the private folder, and finally, removing folders from the private list. More information about a button is found with a quick mouse roll over it. And a help feature offers even more back up should you need it. Once we entered our password, we were able to quickly add a folder to the private folder list, where it was immediately protected. However, when we tried to add another file to the private list, a window popped up telling us that we had to pay to protect more than one folder at a time.
This program's trial limitation totally caught us off guard, and we would have preferred a more direct approach, with the publisher acknowledging that this was a trial version. This is a field with a lot of options to choose from. Go with one that lets you know up front what you're getting into.

Pros: yes it hide the files and folders.
Cons: It is not worth to use, It is true it hides your important files and but folders.
After couple of use you can not find them again.Summary: Free software are mostly help. But such software which does not have any proper web sites are not trustworthy.
I am sure this Program is published by some sort of HACKERS.
SO I ADVISED TO EVERY ONE NOT TO USE THIS SOFTWARE.

"Doesn't actually hide the files inside the folder."
Pros: 1. Uhh....... I suppose it makes the folder disappear within Windows Explorer.
Cons: 1. Does not hide the files when you perform a search.
2. Only allows one folder to be hidden in the Free version.
3. Why would you pay for this?Summary: Seemed to work fine as the folder was no longer visible when I used the program but when I performed a windows search it found every single file within the folder. "Reliable way to protect your files and folders"
Pros: This utility is a save program, it has a recovery function, so the locked files is always can be find back.
The menu "Operate - Resume all lock folder" is use on the occasion that windows system had damaged and lock folder information had lost.Cons: The help document need to improve

Pros: Well it really did hide my folder. When I told it to hide the folder, sure enough my folder was gone.
Cons: The only problem with this software was that when I did hide my folders they were gone. Period. When I checked back with the control panel for the program there was no option to estore my folder. The folder was just gone.
