I was considering getting a typewriter to fill out the various forms I encounter in business and personal life; now I don't need it.

What isn't good is that they confirmed my fear that it is indeed necessary to double-click on each individual text box to type in your entry. While the interface on FormMate is a bit nicer than Form Pilot and creating forms is a breeze, the extra time required to fill in long forms with multiple entries is a major downside for me. I suggest that the developer look at what Form Pilot has done and follow their lead to allow for simple tabbing between boxes and typing. No double-clicking necessary. Then, this would be the choice.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I use 10.4, and downloaded this application as I need to download and fill in lots of pdf forms, then post them on by snail mail as part of my work. After just 10 minutes use I'd paid the developer. It's easy to use, quick, and foolproof. (It must be, I use it). Can't understand the carping on about the price - I've evaluated at least two more apps that cost $20 more that aren't as intuitive.I had one query and it was answered within 10 minutes..... That's support.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is not a bad app and, basically, makes it easier to add text to "non-formed" .pdf files, which can be very useful, but... â?¢ it "phones" idisk.mac.com every time it starts up (boo!) â?¢ it's way over-priced because it still needs work (for instance, the ability to _drag_ text around without having to keep re-sizing and maneuvering the text-fields; an "export to pdf" button; et.al.) If the price was more reasonable, I would purchase it. It's good, but not great...and only when it's great will I pay top-dollar.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Works as advertised. Will smoothly insert text fields and images onto a PDF document. However, as the developers are charging $25 for this beta release, they should consider adding features which would make it more useful that any graphics app that can read PDF and put text onto pictures. An example of this would be creating "stock" phrases, such as Name, address, etc, through a drop down menu. And it would be nice to be able to "tick" checkboxes. Things like these are time savers and would add value. An "export to new pdf" button/keyboard shortcut would be nice (I know I can use the Print-&gt;save as pdf way, but again, saving time is the only reason this app will be used over graphics app).
