This patch is crap. You should be using Aali's custom graphics driver instead (google it), which works better, doesn't mess with your system behind your back, provides ALL of the bugfixes and graphical improvements that this patch has, doesn't use stolen code, and allows you to play the game in higher resolutions.
There's no reason to use this at all. -

I also got stuck on the chocobo race and was contemplating on whether or not to get a new one. But...
Cons
It doesn't tell you how to install it and where it should be placed in your files. I don't have the game with me right now but it would be nice to actually play it with no trouble once I do get it.

I am so excited to play FF7 again since, I stopped playing it for 3 years, after the Chocobo Race is keep on crushing...

But the problem to me now is, I installled FF7 to my XP sp2, then, copy the patch to FF7 folder, and then keep on requiring the FF7 program, saying that it is not installed in my system...

Going on a 15 hr plane ride where I can't download. I remember reading something about FFVII crashing at the chocobo races, does this patch fix that, or should I download another one for the chocobos?

there's something wrong with this. everytime i try to download the patch it will go to like 30 or 40% then it closes. and i never get to finish it. and i need that for my game! is there another way to download this with the process of finishing the download?
