I don't touch raw's cause my camera can't do it so this app is free for me. Not only that but they have so many additional freebies to download off their site. I love it my new favorite app, oh did i mention i now use it to upload face.
I cannot think of a single thing.
Download it, it's free don't like it move on, no harm no foul.
First of all this program doesnt do anything that Paintshop pro version 7 cant Do. and that program is a few yrs Old and has 10 times the Options and YES even has preview effects before you apply..Unlike this one. wich is really stupid to have to apply an effect to see what it looks then undo it,, thats so mid 90'ish paint.
cant preview in real time before applying. doesnt do anything that PSPv7 cant do. PSP is like 5yr old program and has 10 times the options this one does and Does the exact same thing and then Some..Programs like these are a rip off. they using basic layers to achive an effect that even FREE programs LIKE PAINT.NET can do.
This is a HDR dynamic range editor that neither PSP or PAINT.NET are. This is a rather stupid review cause even though the features are similar to other editor 8bit editors, PSP doesn't have 16 or 32bit per channel support and don't even get me started on paint.crap.
-Artizen has 11 tone mapping operator PSP has none!
-Artizen can merge to HDR PSP cannot.
-All features and filters in Artizen support 32bit per channel which Photoshop CS3 barely does.
-Artizen also has a "Preview" with every filter clearly this person didn't use really try the product.
know what's HDR stand's for? it means"high dynamic range" or HDRI(high dynamic range imaging) while unlike photoshop which used on many prupose of imaging. this app specificly focus on image optimizing and re-touching. with over 100+ amazing effect/tool that's gonna to help you in the professional way of imaging. comes with filter effects(or more simple:special imaging effects), HDRI tone mapping application with over 11+ operator, batch processor, screen capture tool, icon creator, full sets of advanced tools. and much much more.
as i said, this app generally focus on image optimizing and re-touching, not really a imaging authoring tool. but it comes with the essential sets of artisic painter so its probably going to finish most of that kind of task for you. and it's not actually 100%free. just free to try, with a extremely annoying nag screen that will pop-up when you save a file or doing other certain actions. oh, and it missing a few minor feature from the full version too. there are other programs like this such as the gimp, so try this if you want, i don't recommend this program if you just wanted to try something fun, but only if you want to do some professional imaging.
I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. This is hands down the most powerful image editor i have used that was less than $200. It has layers, masks, 8bit, 16bit, 32bit and Digital Camera RAW support. Hello i don't see any other app in the list of image editors that even comes close. I have used Artizen for more than 2 years and i LOVE IT!
If i could make one complaint, i would have to say that i would like to see more additions to the Selection tool set.
