From Nico Cuppen Software :Got a scanner and a modem? Why not combine those two into a fax machine? This is how Fax Machine helps you: put a document on your scanner's glass, start Fax Machine, press "Scan a page", press "Send fax", fill in the recipient telephone number and press "Fax it". Fax Machine takes the hassle out of scanning and faxing. No difficult settings to make, very user friendly. Fax Machine also contains a printer driver, which lets you "print" to Fax Machine from any Windows application that supports printing. Of course Fax Machine can not only send faxes, but also receive them. It can even forward a fax by e-mail.
Version 4.33 supports x64 systems.

"works great, highly recommend it"
Pros: fairly easy set-up
Cons: was a little confusing on how you have to print to "Fax Machine" to get a document set up to be faxed

"Two thumbs up!!! Easy and Logical to install/use"
Pros: A super easy and fast install. Quick setup. Sent my first fax of 13 pages in roughly half an hour using the "printer" and "scanner" features.
Cons: None at this time.
Summary: I will buy it when the trial period ends.
Used to use Winfax Pro until issues with XP. I will never use it again now that I have found Fax Machine! -

"Terrific utility that installed without a hitch."
Pros: Installed great. No quirky bits. Simple to use and does exactly "what it says on the tin"! And, the response to an email query to the author was within 24 hours.
Cons: Don't have a single "Don't like"!

Version: Fax Machine 4.33
"At last fax shareware that actually works."
Pros: I tried three different fax programs (searching for something akin to the original WINFAX shareware that really worked). This program works well enough that I paid for it.
Cons: It takes a while to figure out how to use the program, it is not very intuitive.
Summary: Wortks 1000 times better than the fax software (Fax Console) supplied with Windows XP Pro.

Pros: Simple to install and test, and easy to buy and register the license. Can scan a document and fax it if you have a scanner, or you can print docs to the fax printer it installs.
Cons: None that I know of.
Summary: I have a PC with Vista Home Premium, and occasionally I want to print documents to a fax machine - I have no other printer available near this PC. Microsoft doesn't include fax software in this version of Vista. This product replaces that functional... read more >>
